The only NES game I ever got close to being that good at was the TMNT II arcade adaptation. Replaying the game wouldn't be a problem, as it'd only take 15 minutes View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gifĬome on, even back then you knew I could beat it gaining lives.

I tried to go with the highest resolution, bitrate, and frame rate possible without having too much choppiness. Nope, unfortunately I was encoding realtime, which is why it would be great if anyone had suggestions for a less processor-intensive higher quality capturing method that I could use to later reencode or edit the files. You got a higher quality version of that without the occasional sprite invisibility and sound distortion? I hope the quality/size ratio of the video is ok for most people. This was done with all keyboard, specifically the Q key with my left middle finger. Heck no, see above comment, although you are mistaken NES Max and Advantage were both out by that time. Maybe the NES Advantage, but that stick sucked too. hell, turbo controllers were few and far between when this game was developed. Turbo controller nullifies any claims to fame, sir. Well, there's some variability in the game, but I guess I'm "familiar" with the layout. It would have to be stage by stage or in groups of stages, however, since I'm bound to make unnecessary mistakes along the way.Īlso sorta scary how you know /exactly/ where everyone is. I would be going more for completeness and according to how I'd normally play as opposed to speed I'll take the time to show most energy tanks and 1-UPs, although I won't use them. Well, I can't do it quite so quickly, if that's what you mean, but I can sure put together another video. I'll be impressed if you can do that for Megaman 2, the real NES gamer's game. I'm limited to 50MB for my account, with a short grace period (which I'm using now). What might happen is that someone else with a university account and/or server can mirror it for me. I might contact them, but I don't think they'd want to host a 30MB+ video. Have you considered submitting it to gameFAQs? The ability to capture at higher quality and perhaps splice together stages (as will be the case for MegaMan2) would help greatly. Like I said, if anyone has a suggestion, I'd love to hear it, because encoding while playing pushes my system beyond its limits.

#Contra nes gif movie
I was looking around for a free way to capture a window or otherwise make a movie from a gaming session, and this was the only solution I found that could give me sound and video. I could have really flown if I had a turbo button. Nope, this was all done manually on a keyboard.
